Silver Sky Development broke ground for its 18-acre luxury community in Paradise Valley.
Called Silver Sky, the community will feature 12 luxury homes at the base of Mummy Mountain. The entire project was originally approved by Paradise Valley Town Council in April 2023. With a building permit in hand, plans call for breaking ground on the first estate this month.
Named Nova, the 11,965-square-foot home is priced at $18.5 million.
Designed by Stratton Architects, Nova won the Best of American Living Award in 2023 from the National Association of Home Builders. The estate features a wellness center with a sauna, steam and cold plunge. It also includes a pickleball court in the backyard.
The streets for the rest of the community are paved and the infrastructure is complete, said Jeremy Takas, principal for Silver Sky Development.
By this fall, construction is expected to begin on Aquarius, a 9,444-acre estate designed by Drewett Works. That home was nominated for a 2024 Gold Nugget Award.
Priced at $16.5 million, Aquarius features 17-foot floor-to-ceiling glass doors that pocket into the walls, opening the home to the backyard, which also boasts a large rooftop viewing deck.
The rest of the community is taking shape, and Takas said work on the remaining lots will begin later this year.
Two lots have sold, each for $4.6 million, and two lots are under contract and expected to close within the next few weeks, he said. Only four lots remain available for custom homes, which means the buyer would be able to select an architect and builder, Takas said.
